Founded by Matthew Denby and James Elliott, Delta Construction Consultants Ltd is a licensed Registered Building Control Approver established in 2023. As a company we commit to providing an exceptionally high level of service unrivalled within the industry.

Matthew Denby - Director

Experience
From a young age it was clear Matt would pursue a career in the construction industry. Initially as a mason, he gained practical skills and understanding of the built environment which has allowed him to be pragmatic approach to problem solving particularly during construction phase. Clients, designers and contractors have often highlighted these skills as an added value to the building control process. Whilst still being a tradesperson, Matt took his first steps into Building Control by completing a HNC in Construction in the Built Environment at Leeds College of Building.
Shortly after Matt took the opportunity to become a Building Control Officer at the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council. Here, whilst studying a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying, Matt developed his knowledge and skills within Building Control to become a vital member of the team. Completing the degree course with 1st class honours and obtaining membership of CIOB, Matt achieved promotion to become a Senior Building Control Surveyor and develop further skills including management, service development and statutory powers.

James Elliott - Director
Class 3 Registered Building Inspector
BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying

As one of the founding Directors of Delta Construction Consultant Ltd James will be responsible for ensuring the company’s growth success through reputation and portfolio building in line with the company’s core values. James has recently completed his competency validation through the BSCF assessment.
Experience
James started his career as a Mechanical Engineer where he gained valuable onsite experience for many years in the fit out sector. Having decided to make the move into the Building Control profession James achieved a HND in Construction at Leeds College of building and then achieved a first class (Hons) degree in Building Surveying at Sheffield Hallam University while working in the private sector of Building Control.
James then cut his teeth at Bradford Council Building Control over the next five and half years where he worked his way to the position of Senior Building Control Surveyor. He is an all rounded Building Control inspector and has experience in the Domestic, Education, Fitout, Healthcare and Leisure sectors Having spent time as the SAG Chair for Valley Parade stadium, emergency call out and successful prosecutions under section 35/36 Building Act James is professionally known to have vast knowledge in legislative matters and is at the forefront of informing industry of the legislation changes in October 2023.
James became a member with Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) in 2022 and has recently completed his BSCF competency route validation to become a registered building control inspector.
